Champions of Change
Sr. Jennie Jones has been a Sister of the Holy Family for 42 years. She has served as a school principal for 27 years at various Catholic schools. Most recently, Sr. Jones had the opportunity to rebuild the campus of her Alma Mater, St. Mary’s Academy located in New Orleans after being devastated by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Under Sr. Jones’ leadership, the school was rebuilt and even expanded their curriculum and program to included classes from K-8 to accommodate students and families displaced by the Hurricane. Now, middle and high school students are able to enjoy a new state of the art building.
