Integrated Enterprise Management

The Integrated Enterprise Management Program implements business solutions across the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to improve management of financial, physical, and human resources. The program is currently developing systems for contracts, assets, and human capital.

PERFORMING
Moderately Effective

In general, a program rated Moderately Effective has set ambitious goals and is well-managed. Moderately Effective programs likely need to improve their efficiency or address other problems in the programs' design or management in order to achieve better results.
  • The program addresses clear, existing needs. Implementation of business systems across NASA facilities allows timely access to standardized, agency-wide data.
  • NASA's current financial management software does not provide adequate functionality. Current capabilities do not comply with the Federal Financial Management Improvement Act.
  • The program has achieved modest progress towards long-term goals. The program has implemented several software modules that improve financial management, but NASA has yet to formulate a complete, concrete, and realistic plan for a clean audit.
