Rating

What This Rating Means

NOT PERFORMING
Results Not Demonstrated

A rating of Results Not Demonstrated (RND) indicates that a program has not been able to develop acceptable performance goals or collect data to determine whether it is performing.
  • The program has no Congressionally mandated goals or purposes. The absence of a legislative framework has prevented the program from doing strategic planning and setting specific goals.
  • The Tribal courts do not report on their performance because they do not have established measures to report on.
  • The Tribal court system lacks credible independent program evaluations to help management make informed decisions about the program.

Improvement Plan

About Improvement Plans

We are taking the following actions to improve the performance of the program:

  • Working with Tribal courts to develop and clarify program goals and measures.
  • Using the results of scheduled independent program evaluations to help make better informed decisions about the program.
