  <title>National Girls and Women in Sports Day</title>

  <description><![CDATA[<p>The 24th Annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day was celebrated on February 3rd.&nbsp; Ensuring that women and girls have equal opportunities to be strong and healthy is a priority for the Obama Administration.&nbsp; National Girls and Women in Sports Day reminds us of the hard work that has and must continue to go into providing women equal opportunities to participate and excel in sports.&nbsp; We also take this day to celebrate the accomplishments of all female athletes, from girls running their first races to the athletes participating in this year&rsquo;s XXI Olympic Winter Games.&nbsp; <br />
