Rating
What This Rating Means |
NOT PERFORMING Results Not Demonstrated
A rating of Results Not Demonstrated (RND) indicates that a program has not been able to develop acceptable performance goals or collect data to determine whether it is performing.
- The Office has not yet developed measures to demonstrate the impact of its programs on improving the health of racial and ethnic minorities. While the office has developed initiatives to test interventions for reducing disparities in areas such as heart disease, stroke, and cancer, there is no measurement of their impact on reducing health disparities.
- While grantees and contractors are committed to its mission, efforts are needed to document how they are contributing to specific outcome and efficiency goals. Current work plans, budgets, contracts, and other agreements do not reflect the individual role and contribution each provides in eliminating disparities.
- Many of its initiatives appear duplicative with other Federal agencies, States, and private entities. Efforts are needed to demonstrate the differences and individual contributions of each organization.

- Continuing to measure the program's effectiveness in reducing health disparities so that it can be held accountable through demonstrated progress.
- Incorporating performance measures into agreements with grantees, contractors, and other partners to ensure commitment and contributions to program goals.
- Addressing minority health disparities to ensure coordination of similar efforts and initiatives in the public and private sectors through review of reports and evaluations.
