The White House Council on Environmental Quality Seeks Public Input on the Recovery Through Retrofit Report Through Online Forum

WASHINGTON - The White House Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) has launched an online forum to receive public ideas and comments on the Recovery Through Retrofit report. The report, unveiled on October 19, 2009 by Vice President Biden at a Middle Class Task Force meeting, builds on the foundation laid in the Recovery Act to expand green job opportunities and boost energy savings by making homes more energy efficient.

The report is the result of an interagency process, facilitated by CEQ, and provides recommendations for Federal action to lay the groundwork for a self-sustaining home energy efficiency retrofit industry. The public can submit ideas and comments on the report through the CEQ website between now and December 4, 2009. To submit comments on the report, please visit: http://obamawhitehouse.archives.gov/administration/eop/ceq/initiatives/retrofit/submit
