CEQ Chair Sutley, U.S. Senators Durbin and Stabenow to Hold a Press Conference Call Regarding Asian Carp on September 8, 2010 at 10:45 AM (EST)

WASHINGTON – Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) Chair Nancy Sutley and U.S. Senators Dick Durbin (D-IL) and Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) will host a conference call with reporters on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 10:45 AM on Asian carp. 

CEQ works closely with other members of the Asian Carp Regional Coordinating Committee (RCC), a team of Federal, state and local agencies working together to prevent Asian carp from establishing populations in the Great Lakes.  The Asian Carp Control Strategy Framework released in February, 2010 and updated in May, 2010 unifies Federal, state and local action in an unparalleled effort to combat invasive species.
