Carmen Morales-Board is a Surgery Department Family Nurse Practitioner and Certified Diabetes Educator at Kern Medical Center in Bakersfield, CA. Ms. Morales-Board has been an RN since 1991 and a Nurse Practitioner since 2002. She received her AND from Bakersfield College, BSN from California State University, Bakersfield, and an MSN-FNP from California State University, Dominguez Hills. She served on the California Board of Registered Nurses as direct practice member from 2002-2008. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Ms. Morales-Board is an active member in SEIU’s Nurse Alliance, serving on the Nurse Alliance’s National Leadership Council, and the Nurse Alliance of California Steering Committee. She is the First Vice President of SEIU Local 521 and past president of Local 700. Ms. Morales-Board is married to Jeff Board, an elementary school teacher, and has one son, Estevan, a Kern County Tax Assessor.
