Henry Perahia

Henry Perahia is the Chief Bridge Officer of the New York City Department of Transportation, a position he has held since 1999. He is responsible for the planning and administration of all aspects of design, construction, and maintenance of 787 City-owned bridges and tunnels. This $175 million dollar project included the rehabilitation of eight vehicular bridges, one pedestrian bridge and one parking field to provide improved commuter access to the Staten Island Ferry Terminal for 60,000 daily riders.
