John Saunders is the Director of Virginia’s Highway Safety Services and has been a member of the Executive Staff of Virginia’s Department of Motor Vehicles since 2003. Nationally, John serves as an Executive Board Officer of the Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA) and as GHSA's representative to the National Association of State Emergency Medical Services Officials. He is Virginia’s representative to the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials Safety Management Subcommittee, and is a member of the Steering Committee for the American College of Emergency Physicians Culture of Safety project.
