Kwanza is the founder and executive director of Neighborhood Mathematica, a supplemental math education program for Atlanta students in grades 1-8. Volunteer math coaches are trained and sent to various high-need schools and recreation centers to work with students in grade-level math concepts for ten weeks, after which the students come together to represent their neighborhoods in a regional competition. Neighborhood Mathematica helps develop a culture of education in communities and promote a spirit of healthy competition. Kwanza holds a B.A. from Wellesley College.
