The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (the Lifeline), a program funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and administered by Link2Health Solutions, a subsidiary of the Mental Health Association of New York City, offers life-saving services around the clock. Through a network of over 150 independently-operated crisis centers across the nation linked through one toll-free number – 1-800-273-TALK (8255) – individuals in distress can easily access free and confidential help.
