Susan Riedy is the Senior Public Health Planner at the Albany County Department of Health. She directs the planning, implementation, and evaluation of activities associated with the Albany County Citizen Corps (ACCC), a group of local leaders dedicated to preparing their communities to respond to emergencies. ACCC recently created a new website to recruit and register emergency response volunteers before emergencies happen, thus streamlining community-wide responses to emergencies when they occur.
