Dr. Charlene Dukes
Dr. Charlene M. Dukes is the eighth president, and first female president, of Prince George’s Community College and has more than thirty years of progressive leadership experience and administrative responsibility in higher education. With more than 40,000 students, 80% of whom are students of color, the college has been identified as a predominantly black institution. Prince George’s Community College offers 200 credit and workforce development programs. Dr. Dukes’ involvement in education extends throughout the county and state of Maryland, as she has served on the Prince George’s County Board of Education, and was recently appointed by the Governor to the Maryland State Board of Education.
