Promoting Health Workforce in Underserved Communities 

The Act expands medical care in underserved communities throughout the United States.

It supports scholarships and loan repayments for disadvantaged students who commit to work in medically underserved areas and who serve as faculty in participating institutions. It expands the allowable uses of nursing diversity grants and establishes a program to provide continued educational support to health professionals serving in underserved communities.
