Practical Guide to Federal Service Oriented Architecture

Practical Guide to Federal Service Oriented Architecture

The Architecture and Infrastructure Committee released the Practical Guide to Federal Service Oriented Architecture (PGFSOA) v1.1 in June 2008. The PGFSOA is designed to assist Federal chief architects and CIOs in adopting SOA best practices to advance agencies’ missions, meet demanding compliance requirements, introduce more agility into their architecture, and optimize IT architectures. Additionally, the practical guide discusses how to employ services to establish a flexible architecture to simplify delivery of government services by enabling collaboration and access to services across organizational boundaries.
