"The President talks on the phone with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, after Mubarak's televised statement in which he said that he would step down at the end of his term but not resign immediately. There are usually one or two aides present when the President makes an official phone call. But on occasion, for historically important times such as this, there are often many more aides. Some are listening, some are taking notes, and some are already at work editing a Presidential statement."
