Miracle Bracelet

April 2012: Joplin’s tornado story was quickly dubbed the “Miracle of the Human Spirit” by City Manager Mark Rohr, to capture the community’s resiliency and to recognize the outpouring of support from all over the world. Bracelets capturing that phrase were created and given out. Architecture students from nearby Drury University designed this metal replica for the city’s Cunningham Park to honor the volunteers “who selflessly contributed to the response, recovery and redevelopment” of Joplin.
