Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood During National Transportation Week
In honor of National Transportation Week (May 16-20) Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood travelled across the country to Tennessee, Nevada, and California, where he saw innovative projects that will make Americans safer, create good jobs for U.S. workers, and help people get where they need to go without suffering at the gas pump.

The plant, which has been funded in part by a loan from the U.S. Department of Energy as part of the Advanced Technology Vehicles Manufacturing Loan Program, is being constructed next to a facility that will produce the Nissan Leaf EV.
