Let us know about your Public Safety Apps!

Public and product safety are key government-wide priorities. In support of those priorities the Administration has launched the Safety Data Initiative to spur Americans’ entrepreneurial spirit toward the goal of developing and deploying a range of innovative digital tools and mobile applications to enhance public and product safety. We kicked-off the Safety Data Initiative by launching Safety.Data.Gov, where you can find more than 700 public safety datasets that provide rich information on traffic, crime, health, labor, and consumer product safety. In addition to the Federal datasets, we are also linking to local safety datasets from the City of Chicago and the State of Maryland, with more on the way.

Are you building apps that empower people to make informed decisions about their safety and the safety of others using data from Safety.Data.gov?  We want to hear about them!  Tell us about the safety apps you’ve built using the form below.  Some of the most innovative applications will be highlighted in a Safety Datapalooza in September.  If you haven’t built an app yet, the U.S. Department of Transportation just issued the U.S. DOT Motorcoach Safety Data Student Challenge and the U.S. Department of Labor issued the Worker Safety and Health Challenge.

Let us know about the apps you’ve built; we’re looking forward to learning about how you’re improving public safety!

Give us a brief description of your app. What platform is it built on? How does it work?

Send us a screenshot of your app.
