VA’s Business Conference and Hiring Fair: Putting Vets Back to Work

The National Veteran Small Business Conference is fast approaching, along with the associated Veteran Hiring Fair and VA Open House. From June 26-29, thousands of Veterans will gather in Detroit’s Cobo Center for the three VA-hosted events below.
The National Veteran Small Business Conference
As the premier event, the National Veteran Small Business Conference will help Veteran-owned businesses maximize opportunities in the federal marketplace. Veteran entrepreneurs will connect with Federal procurement decision makers from across Government, and over 200 training sessions will focus on things like business requirements and acquisition forecasting. Veteran Hiring Fair
Over 16,000 VA, federal, and private-sector jobs across the country will be up for grabs at the free Veteran Hiring Fair June 26-28. After you sign up online, you can request a customized coaching session to help you build a strong resume and prepare for interviews. You can schedule interviews with employers that are looking to fill jobs on the spot or soon after the event. And signing up also gets you a pass to the Veteran Open House (below), which is also free. More info | Sign up
Veteran Open House
At last year’s business conference, the Veteran Open House got hundreds of Vets into VA’s system on the spot, and it’ll be bigger and better this year. From June 26-28, VA employees will be standing by to enroll Veterans in healthcare, provide onsite exams, and provide information on other benefits and services available to Veterans, families, and survivors. If you register for the Hiring Fair, you will automatically gain entry into the open house. More info | Sign up
These three co-located events are a great opportunity for Veterans get back on track after time in service, get enrolled in the VA system and embark on a meaningful new career. If you’re able to make the trip, we hope you come in, get enrolled, and walk away with a job you deserve.
