Vice President Joe Biden Meets With Groups To Develop Proposals On Gun Violence
On Dec. 19, 2012, President Barack Obama asked Vice President Joe Biden to lead an effort, including members of the Cabinet and outside organizations, to develop a set of policy proposals in response to the tragedy in Newtown, Conn. The Vice President, members of the Cabinet and White House staff conducted 22 different meetings with 229 different organizations, and had conversations with more than 31 elected officials.
