Nancy Sutley, Chair of the White House Council on Environmental Quality, Commemorates National Public Lands Day

Washington, DC — White House Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) Chair Nancy Sutley will commemorate National Public Lands Day on Saturday, September 26, 2009 in Washington, DC. Following the opening ceremonies, Nancy Sutley and other volunteers will participate in a service project aimed at restoring and enhancing the area next to the Potomac River and near the Lincoln Memorial. Volunteers will assist park rangers and maintenance staff by removing invasive plants, pruning trees, resetting Belgium blocks, pulling weeds, and picking up litter.
