Statement by the Press Secretary on S. 142, S. 1115 and S. 1629
On Thursday, January 28, 2016, the President signed into law:
S. 142, the “Child Nicotine Poisoning Prevention Act of 2015,” which requires the packaging of liquid nicotine containers to be subject to existing child poisoning prevention packaging standards;
S. 1115, the “Grants Oversight and New Efficiency Act or the GONE Act,” which provides the Congress with additional information on the status of Federal Agencies' outstanding grant awards; and
S. 1629, the “District of Columbia Courts, Public Defender Service, and Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency Act of 2015,” which amends certain authorities of the District of Columbia Courts, the Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency, and the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia.
