Readout of Vice President Biden’s Call with Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman
Vice President Biden spoke today with Ukraine's newly-elected Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman. The Vice President congratulated the Prime Minister on his election, and on the new cabinet and government program of work that were approved by the Rada today. The Vice President stressed that, in order to maintain international support for Ukraine, the new team should move forward quickly on Ukraine's reform program, including fulfilling its IMF commitments, as well as on Minsk implementation and the confirmation of a new, reformist Prosecutor General. The Vice President reiterated unwavering U.S. commitment to the prosperity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
