WASHINGTON, DC – Today, President Barack Obama announced his intent to nominate the following individual to a key Administration post:

•          Mark Acton – Commissioner, Postal Regulatory Commission

Mark Acton, Nominee for Commissioner, Postal Regulatory Commission

Mark Acton is a Commissioner on the Postal Regulatory Commission, a position he has held since 2006.  Mr. Acton served as Special Assistant to the Chairman of the Postal Rate Commission from 2002 to 2006 and as Staff Director for the Republican National Committee Counsel's Office from 1996 to 2002.  Mr. Acton received a B.A. from the University of Louisville and an M.B.A from the University of Maryland.
