JOINT STATEMENT FROM THE WHITE HOUSE PRESS SECRETARY AND 10 DOWNING STREET SPOKESPERSON

"President Obama and Prime Minister Brown have had good discussions on the full range of global issues. They agreed on the significance on the steps taken by both the G8 and the MEF on climate change, and on the importance of completing urgently the economic and financial reforms agreed at the G20 Summit in London. The President expressed solidarity on Iran, where both leaders were clear that the detention of Embassy staff by the Iranian authorities was unacceptable. The Prime Minister wlecomed the President's plans for a nuclear security conference in 2010. They looked forward to keeping in close touch in the run up to Pittsburgh."
