WASHINGTON – Today, President Barack Obama announced his intent to nominate the following individuals to key administration posts:

Reverend Joseph Pius Pietrzyk, Nominee for Member, Legal Services Corporation
Fr. Pius Pietrzyk, O.P., is currently a priest in the parish of St. Thomas Aquinas in Zanesville, OH.  Fr. Pius was ordained to the priesthood on May 23, 2008, after having entered the novitiate for the Dominican Province of St. Joseph in 2002 and studied for his License in Sacred Theology. His thesis was on St. Thomas Aquinas's account of Knowledge and Love in understanding the persons of the Trinity.  Prior to that, he worked for three years in the Corporate and Securities practice of Sidley & Austin, a large international law firm based in Chicago. Fr. Pietrzyk was raised in Phoenix, AZ where he attended Brophy College Preparatory. He graduated from the University of Arizona with a double major in English and Philosophy, and obtained his J.D. from the University of Chicago.

Harry Korrell, Nominee for Member, Legal Services Corporation
Harry Korrell is a  partner in the Seattle office of Davis Wright Tremaine, LLP.  His practice focuses on employment law and has extensive experience in large-scale and high-profile cases, including class actions and commercial, civil rights and election litigation. Korrell is a member of the Employment Rights and Responsibilities Subcommittee of the American Bar Association and the National Executive Board of the Labor and Employment Law Practice Group of the Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy.  He is a recipient of the Federalist Society’s Justice Theodore Stiles Award and was named one of the "Best Lawyers in America" in Labor & Employment Law by Woodward/White.  Korrell received his B.A. from the University of Washington in 1990, graduating magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, and earned his J.D. in 1993 from the University of Chicago Law School.
