President Obama Nominates Charles Dunne as U.S. Marshal for the Eastern District of New York

WASHINGTON- Today President Obama nominated Charles Dunne to serve as U.S Marshal for the Eastern District of New York. 

“I am pleased to nominate Charles Dunne to serve as a United States Marshal and grateful for his continued willingness to serve and protect the American people,” said President Obama.

Charles Dunne currently works for the New York City Police Department.  He joined the force in 1990 and has worked his way up the ranks to his current position as Inspector.   Dunne received his B.A. degree from Fairfield University in 1989 and his M.A. degree in 1997 from John Jay College of Criminal Justice.  In 2002, Dunne also earned his law degree from St. John’s University School of Law.
