Readout of the Vice President's Meeting with Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic of Montenegro

The Vice President met with Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic on January 20, 2010. They discussed the strong bilateral relationship between the U.S. and Montenegro, progress and challenges for Montenegro in its Euro-Atlantic integration, and Montenegro’s positive role in promoting stability in the Balkans. The Vice President reiterated U.S. support for Montenegro’s NATO and EU aspirations, and thanked the Prime Minister for his leadership and for Montenegro’s plans to contribute to the NATO mission in Afghanistan.
