STATEMENT BY THE PRESS SECRETARY
On Thursday, May 7, 2009, the President signed into law:
H.R. 1626, the "Statutory Time-Periods Technical Amendments Act of 2009," which makes technical amendments to laws containing time periods affecting judicial proceedings; and
S.J.Res. 8, which provides for the appointment of David M. Rubenstein as a citizen regent of the Board of Regents of the Smithsonian Institution.
