STATEMENT BY THE PRESS SECRETARY
On Friday, May 8, 2009 the President signed into law:
S. 39, which repeals a 1980 statutory restriction (commonly known as the "Bennett Freeze") on development on lands in northeastern Arizona that were previously disputed by the Hopi Tribe and the Navajo Nation.
