Vice President Biden, Secretary of Energy Chu to Make Major Recovery Act Announcement
Vice President to deliver remarks via satellite; Secretary Chu to visit Fremont, CA
WASHINGTON, D.C. - On Friday, September 4th, Vice President Joe Biden and Energy Secretary Steven Chu will make a major funding announcement regarding the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Secretary Chu will visit Solyndra, Inc. in Fremont, California and Vice President Biden will deliver remarks via satellite for the event. Secretary Chu will be joined by company representatives and elected officials, including Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. Following the speaking program, Secretary Chu will tour the Solyndra Inc. facilities.
Satellite coordinates for Vice President Biden’s remarks will be made available in the morning.
