Patricia Liberti is a retired nurse who has consistently hit the prescription drug coverage gap known as the donut hole. This year, Patricia received a $250 rebate check to help cover the cost of her prescription drugs. Next year, Patricia will receive a 50 percent discount on brand name prescription drugs she purchases when she hits the donut hole. By 2020, the donut hole will be eliminated.
