Today, after being introduced by Defense Secretary Gates, the President gave a few remarks on the South Lawn before kicking off the ""White House to Light House"" Wounded Warrior Soldiers Ride. The race raises public awareness of the challenges facing veterans as they recover from life-altering injuries, and in drew quite a crowd, including Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki, National Security Advisor General Jim Jones, and Veterans Affairs Assistant Secretary of Public and Intergovernmental Affairs Tammy Duckworth will also attend.
