Doing Business in Africa Forum 2013
On Wednesday, February 20th, 2013 from 9:30am to 4:00pm in honor of Black History Month and the White House Business Council, the Office of Public Engagement is hosting a forum based on the economic strategies within Sub-Sahara Africa. This daylong celebration will focus on a panel discussion moderated by Mathew McGuire, Assistant Director of the Office of Business Liaison with Introductions from Senior Advisor to the President, Valerie Jarrett.
Last year, the Administration launched the “Doing Business in Africa” initiative in order to leverage the federal government’s trade promotion, financing and strategic communications capabilities to help U.S. businesses identify and seize opportunities in Africa. The “Doing Business in Africa” Forum will give you the opportunity to engage directly with senior White House and Administration officials in a conversation on how the U.S. Government can most effectively empower you and your peers to seize opportunities in Sub-Saharan Africa.
To RSVP, please fill out the registration form below. Please complete the form no later than close of business February 13, 2013.
In the coming days, we will send an agenda and more details for the Forum. This invitation is non-transferable. The meeting is off the record and closed to press. Please feel free to contact us with any questions at: africanamericans@who.eop.gov
