The White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs (IGA) serves as the front door to the White House through which local, county, tribal, and state governments can participate in and inform the work of the President. IGA manages a vigorous two-way communication process with you, making sure your voices are heard in the White House and federal agencies and connecting them to the President’s major goals and initiatives. IGA facilitates input from you as federal policy and initiatives are crafted, and solicits your cooperation and feedback during implementation.
