Restoring the Everglades: An America’s Great Outdoors Event

 

Tom Vilsack, Secretary of Agriculture; Lisa Jackson, Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency; Nancy Sutley, Chair of the White House Council on Environmental Quality; Rachel Jacobson, Assistant Secretary US Department of the Interior; and Jo-Ellen Darcy, Assistant Secretary of the Army (Civil Works) cordially invite you to join them for the White House Event, “Restoring the Everglades: An America’s Great Outdoors Initiative Event.” 

The event will be held on Friday July 13, 2012, in Kissimmee, Florida, at The Nature Conservancy’s Disney Wilderness Preserve. Registration will begin at 10:30 a.m.; the event will commence from 11:00 a.m. until noon. (Please note that advance RSVP is required, and attendance will be confirmed by e-mail from the White House.)  

The event will discuss the Administration’s important and ongoing commitments to the vital Florida Everglades’ ecosystem and build upon its efforts to ensure that the goals of the Everglades restoration work are achieved.
