White House Champions of Change - Local Innovators

The White House Champions of Change program highlights the stories and examples of citizens across the country who are “Winning the Future” with projects and initiatives that move their communities forward.  Each week, the White House hosts an event to honor those who are working to empower and inspire other members of their communities.

This September, the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs and Office of Science and Technology Policy will invite local innovators to the White House to recognize the exceptional ways they are improving their communities.

For example, a champion’s work may entail:

  • Providing enhanced constituent services through technology
  • Making local government information and public data more accessible
  • Creating local environments to encourage and support entrepreneurs
  • Building new and creative partnerships or business models with other governments, businesses, academia, non-profit organizations or citizens
  • Developing workforce programs to provide residents with skills for the new, high-tech economy

Please submit nominations by midnight on Wednesday, August 15 by utilizing this form.

Please Note: Multiple submissions do not increase likelihood of being selected.
