White House Social: Spring Garden Tour 2015

On Saturday, April 25th, 2015, the White House will host a 2015 White House Garden Tour Social.

Participants will join us at the White House for a tour of the White House South Lawn gardens.

What is a White House Social?

White House Socials are in-person meetings of people who engage with the White House through social media, including Twitter, Instagram, Vine, and Pinterest.

Building off of the White House Tweetup series, we're inviting people that engage with us online on a range of social sites to participate in face-to-face meetings and events. Past White House Social events have included a Twitter Town Hall with the President, a Tweetup Briefing with Press Secretary Jay Carney, a United Kingdom Arrival Ceremony Tweetup, a White House Google+ Photowalk during the 2012 Spring Garden Tours, and a 2014 State of the Union Social, and a White House Easter Egg Roll Social.

How do I register?

Registration opens at WhiteHouse.gov/social at 8:00 p.m. ET on Friday, April 17, and closes on 5:00 p.m. ET on Sunday, April 19. Invitations are non-transferable and do not include guests.

Do I need to have a social media account to register?

Yes. This event is designed for users who regularly interact with the White House online. Registration is open to those who are followers of White House social media accounts.

What are the registration requirements?

Registration indicates your intent to travel to the White House in Washington, D.C. on the morning of Saturday, April 25, 2015 to attend the White House Social in person. You will bear any costs associated with travel and lodging. All guests will be required to present a valid, government-issued photo identification (detailed here).

What if I cannot come to Washington, D.C.?

If you cannot come to the White House in Washington, D.C. to attend in person, you should not register for the White House Social.

When will I know if I am selected?

The White House will contact applicants via email with additional instructions for those that have been invited or added to the wait list. If you have been selected, you will be notified no later than Tuesday, April 21, 2015.
