President's Global Development Council

Staff

Jayne Thomisee serves as Executive Director of the President’s Global Development Council, supporting the Council in its role of informing and providing advice to the President and other senior U.S. officials on global development policies and practices.

Ms. Thomisee also currently serves as a Policy Advisor in the Office of the Administrator at the U.S. Agency for International Development, managing a portfolio of policy issues that includes the Agency’s set of internal reforms and stakeholder engagement. Previously, she served as White House Liaison and Deputy Executive Secretary at USAID and Associate Director in the White House Office of Public Engagement. She was also a member of the Obama-Biden Presidential Transition Team.

Ms. Thomisee holds a Master’s in International Development from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. She has worked in international development for over fifteen years on both development programs and policy advocacy campaigns, including service in the Peace Corps, with the United Nations Development Program, and at international non-profit organizations.
