This week, the President visited Steel City and The Big Apple, celebrated the anniversary of the ADA and the signing of AGOA, and hosted a newly minted head of state -- all while a U.S. delegation led by Dr. Biden traveled through Asia.

  • Dr. Biden began a diplomatic trip to Vietnam, Laos and The Republic of Korea, to advocate for the expansion of economic and educational opportunities for girls and women. Concluding the journey in Japan, she stopped by a USO BBQ for military families where she highlighted the Joining Forces initiative.

  • The President took off for Pittsburgh, where he addressed the 116th National Convention of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
  • The President returned to New York City, this time for his final appearance on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.
  • The White House launched two new digital tools to advocate for the recently announced deal with Iran, which would prevent that nation from obtaining a nuclear weapon. 
  • Valerie Jarrett led a White House tour for Logan Fairbanks, a brave young man who distinguished himself by standing up to cyberbullies.
