Founder and President of Mother of Many
Daphne Bradford is the founder and president of the non-profit organization Mother of Many (M.O.M.). Since 2006, Mother of Many has been providing innovative technology training and certification opportunities to K-12 students to help prepare them for college and the 21st Century workforce. M.O.M.’s goal is to “bridge the digital technology and STEM career divide” in order to close the achievement gap in schools where underserved students are challenged by below standard access to internet connectivity and current technology. Daphne has been nationally recognized by global technology companies as a 2007 Apple Distinguished Educator (ADE), a 2011 Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE), and a 2012 MIE Trainer. A proven leader in the field of educational technology, Daphne has been delivering innovative professional development training to Los Angeles Unified School District teachers to assist educators with integrating technology into the classroom curriculum to help improve student achievement. From teaching students how to publish digital books, to producing the PHAT (Popular Healthy And Tastea) Kids Café cooking show, to developing healthy eating apps like Going Bananas for Health, to teaching Cloud computing, Daphne is dedicated to keeping students and teachers connected to education using any device necessary: laptops, smartphones and tablets.
