Katherlyn Geter has been the State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) Regional Coordinator in Chattanooga, TN for the past 10 years. She is employed by the Southeast Tennessee Development District /Area Agency on Aging and Disability. Throughout her career, Ms. Geter has hosted a weekly radio show called “Medicare Connection” and worked with numerous faith-based organizations to provide education about benefits and preventive services. She has worked tirelessly with her SHIP Volunteers to counsel older Americans on understanding benefits available to them. Additionally, she has focused her efforts on working in communities in order to reduce the health disparities among minorities throughout Tennessee.
