Neeta Patel is a first-year student at Princeton University. Throughout high school, Neeta made it her mission to participate in community service, regardless of her classwork. She later became an AmeriCorps member, resurrecting the 4-H Teen Council to promote the mission of leadership to a wider audience. Before attending Princeton University, she participated in the Princeton Bridge Year Program, deferring enrollment for a year and traveling to Ghana, West Africa. She volunteered at a middle school in a rural village for nine months.

Jessica McAtamney teaches Advanced Placement Environmental Science, AgroEcoogy, and Urban Gardening at Saul High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Jessica founded a program called Henry Got Crops! Community Supported Agricultural Partnership between Saul High School, Weavers Way Cooperative and Fairmount Park. Within the Philadelphia FFA Chapter, she is also responsible for the coordination of the Outward Bound programming, the World Food Prize Programming, the Students Run Philly Style Marathon, and the University of Pennsylvania’s Engineers without Borders programming.

Gregory L. Jeffrey has been a member of the Fort Wayne Central Lions Club since 1985. When Gregory went on his first mission trip in the mid '90s, he knew nothing about eyeglass missions. Now, he leads the annual trips to Central America to provide vital medical services to people in need.

Douglas D. Rodenbeck has been a member of the Anthony Wayne Lions Club for 33 years, and has been long involved with community efforts, acting as a volunteer firefighter for more than 40 years. Doug enjoys working with young people, and supervised the largest Leo club fundraiser on record.

Maria Emee M. Nisnisan has been a member of the Houston Royal Oaks Lions Club since 2004. Maria believes education is the key to empowerment. She uses her skills as a registered nurse to provide healthcare access to undeserved populations.

Robert W. Massof is a member of the Baltimore Brooklyn Lyons Club, actively working to restore and enhance the sight of people with low vision. Robert and his fellow Lions also helps educate the community about the limitations and capabilities of visually impaired people.

Mike Buscemi has been a member of the Thornville Lions Club since 1982. Dedicated to building a healthy next generation, Mike works with youth and the development of Lions Quest, a comprehensive life skills program.

Brad Baker has been a Lion for 22 years, following in the footsteps of his parents. Brad works at Mid-South Lions Sight and Hearing Service, and enjoys working with Lions from all over the world, realizing positive change in the lives of people every day.

Rob White is the Director of Economic Development for the City of Livermore and the Interim CEO of the i-GATE Innovation Hub, a broad super-regional partnership that is focused on Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and Sandia National Laboratories/CA as economic engines. In his role as Economic Developer, Rob works across sectors and regions to translate the entrepreneurial ecosystem present in Silicon Valley into a living network of government advocacy, research collaboration, and industry investment.

Mary Bunting is the City Manager of Hampton, Virginia, working to make her city's budget a much less intimidating issue and more participatory process. With help from a lot of people, Mary decided to engage residents with the budget by using an aggressive outreach program of large public gatherings—including adding instant polling technology that allowed every person to voice an opinion on every issue and immediately see the group polling result.

Carolyn Hogg is the Chief Information Officer for Fresno, California. Carolyn believes the opportunity to combine California’s strengths – agriculture and technology – will ignite revitalization efforts and attract high-tech agriculture companies to the downtown area. She hopes to bring wireless broadband to her entire community, providing people with the tools to help solve agriculture, economic, health, and social problems.

Michael Flowers is the Analytics Director for New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg’s Office of Policy and Strategic Planning. Everyday, Michael and his team conduct aggressive data mining and analysis to bring the complete “digital fingerprint” of just about any complex urban problem into focus. He helps determine which tools of government, across agency boundaries, can best address the problems they find.

Brenda Batschelet is an active member of Aktion Club, a Kiwanis service organization for adults with disabilities. Brenda played a large role in the Club's recent participation in Relay for Life in Jefferson, Iowa, serving as the team captain and further developing her leadership skills in the community.

Jeffery Woods has dedicated his entire life to serving others as a citizen solider and a community servant. Among the many examples of his service, Jeffery has started a backpack program to support disadvantaged students at an elementary school, assisted citizens and emergency personnel after Hurricane Katrina hit, and helped restore New Orleans, and is an active member of the Kiwanis Club of Ruston, Louisiana.
