Sandi Rosa Acosta, Middle School Science Teacher, Miami-Dade County Public Schools. Sandi has been a middle school science teacher at Kenwood K-8 Center for eight years. She is a National Board Certified Teacher in Science/Early Adolescence. Sandi is also a member of Florida’s Student Growth Implementation Committee, which provides input, feedback and recommendations to the state in the development and implementation of teacher-level student growth models for Race to the Top. Prior to becoming a teacher, Sandi was an attorney with the United States Department of Justice.
