Millburn Sr. High School, Millburn, New Jersey. The school was the 2011 Grand Prize Winner of DoSomething.org and HP's Green Your School Challenge. Students launched projects such as creating water bottle recycling bins, calculating the amount of pollution that idling cars in the school carpool line were emitting, maintaining hiking trails and planting non-invasive plants in the South Mountain Reservation. Students presented to the Board of Education and Superintendent of Schools regarding Environmental Club activities and eco-friendly proposals for the coming year. Participating students received a $5000 grant and 5 HP laptops to power their future projects.
