Mandy Patterson is from Boone, North Carolina where she attended Appalachian State University. This is where she met her husband, Chris. They had three children, Katelyn, Zachary and Brandon. Since 2008 Mandy has served on the PTA at Oak Grove Elementary in Raleigh, NC. Mandy served 1 year as Treasurer, 2 years as President, and is currently serving her second year as VP of Fundraising and Family Nights. During the last 4 years she has either chaired or been on a majority of the committees at Oak Grove. In 2009 she started a children’s charity, Pajama Pals, which has collected and distributed nearly 75,000 books and new pajamas to underprivileged children in North Carolina. Next year when her youngest son starts Kindergarten at Oak Grove she plans to stay active in the PTA and community.
