Dr. Tanya Green, Ed.D is the principal of Friendship Preparatory Academy at Calverton, a turnaround school within the Baltimore City Public School System. A former “at-risk” student herself, Dr. Green has envisioned and overseen several innovative initiatives in order to change one of Baltimore City’s lowest performing and most persistently dangerous schools into one of the city’s brightest stars, including implementing an effective teacher Professional Learning Community Program and Student At-Risk Program (STAR).
