As a mother who was new to San Francisco, Jill Seman created MomMaps to alleviate her frustration trying to find locations in the city where she could take her kids. Now serving several cities, MomMaps is an interactive online and iPhone app that helps parents find child-friendly activities while on the go. Using GPS, MomMaps gives quick and easy access to an extensive list of local parks, playgrounds, restaurants, museums and indoor play areas that are child friendly and fun. All kid spots are parent recommended and include tips and reviews so users can find a spot that best suits their children’s interests and needs. MomMaps started out as a collection of 100 sites in San Francisco and has since expanded to the rest of the Bay Area and 21 other metro areas.
